Boogie Nights
I finally watched Boogie Nights today (its been on my film list for a long time) and I was really impressed! Mark Wahlberg was amazing. The film portrayed that glamorously seedy side of the late seventies, and the growing porn industry really well. Gorgeous colours. Heather Graham's "Roller Girl" and Julianne Moore's "Amber Waves" were both gorgeous, savvy - yet had an endearing vulnerability and damaged quality. Love the wavy hair, crimping, knee socks, hotpants, pastels and flowers.

Net-A-Porter 10/02/09
Net-A-Porter have some tasty new goodies for us! Predictably I love this Rick Owens Washed Leather Jacket - he can do no wrong. The visible lining and the pockets look great!
And wow, the beading detail on this Balmain Embroidered Mini Dress dress from the Spring 09 Collection is amazing. Love the strong shoulder details too.

New Karen Fix!!!
As you already know, I've been obsessed with Karen Walker's new collection The Believers since she showed it at New York Fashion Week for Spring 09 (our southern hemisphere winter however). The first drop came into store today!! I picked up this top in the gorgeous abstract leopard print. Its loose and so comfortable - the front is t-shirting and the back is grey cotton.
The print is gorgeous (what I like to think of as leopard print on acid) in a beigey apricot, orange cream and grey...
And on the upper back has this gorgeous lacework of her iconic "Runaway Girl" appliqued...
I'll have to wear my hair up to show it off!God I love this tee! Made my day for sure.
Ps: also got a second hand green army jacket - its fab.
Oyster: Issue 80
The new issue of Oyster looks great - entitled "Distortion", Alice Dellal rocks the cover and inside are the amazing Rick Owens and Christopher Kane (plus many more - several Aussies too). Can't wait! Was very impressed by their past two issues, so this should be equally fab!

Excitement at the breakfast table! New shots from Chloe's Spring/Summer 09 campaign. I love these! The light, the colour, the rocks (and obvz the clothes). And that soft bouncy hair that is oh so Chloe. I do miss Anja though.
