Lacey, Florally, Velvetty Goodness To See In The Big Two One

As I had been mentioning the bits and pieces I had picked up for my birthday outfit (and they general stress of me being an idiot and leaving it to the last minute) a few of you asked for an outfit post. I know I rarely do these, but I'm all shy and shit - but shall try harder. Anyway though, I was fully psyched by what I ended up piecing together - had wanted some intense shit as its my 21st so why not! And am so glad I used it as an excuse to get the bodysuit that I'd been coveting forever.

New Goodies: Tv and Tweed

Picked up my Tv leopard merino leggings from Black Box yesterday. They are HEAVENLY. So unbelievably warm and comfortable - and surprisingly super wearable. The colours of taupe, grey and black means they go with pretty much everything.

On a cheaper note, I hit up my local salvo shop as well and got an amazing purple/grey/tan tweed oversized blazer for a cool $10. Super comfy and warm and with magically deep pockets. Handbag not required.

And I know these will def not be to everyones taste (my lil sister grimaced when I pulled them out of the bag) but i love these. Super cute!!! V similar to a pair I had when I was a kid. And $4... So I could not say no.
Have been loving socks lately too - they are keeping my poor scrawny midget feet warm!

Eighties Prom

I went to an "80s Prom" themed 21st on saturday night. Great theme! Everyone went to a tone of efforts (lots of hammer pants, so-bad-they-are-good adidas jackets, skinny ties, puffy dress and scrunchies. I was majorly bummed that between uni and work I hadn't had the time to source a disgustingly awesome vintage dress, so I had to make do and piece together something from my own wardrobe - worrysome somewhat that I had everything I needed? And that I pretty much liked my outfit? It was held in a hall and felt exactly like a bad school dance. Balloons, chairs around the edge, trestle tables with food and drink. The birthday girl is a music fiend and a bass player so the playlist was awesome.

Black and White (and Red!)

Tonight's outfit for wine at a friends house (I was drinking red.. So I wore white? Haven't I learnt from past experiences?) Bodysuit is from Stella McCartney, shorts are vintage Levis that I cut off and bleached, white tank is a dress from Supre, as is the belt.

Let Your Heart Be Light

This is how I wore Christmas...
Festive outfits are a must! White skinny jeans and a burgundy velvet top for Christmas Eve drinks at the local pub, then my cream Karen Walker dress (present!!) for the day. And for Christmas dinner my cream Country Road dress with black stars. Red nails worn throughout of course!! Dressing up for Christmas so helps get you in the mood - I even wore my Clara-esque (The Nutcracker) nightie!
