Clare Tough

I was having a look at the lovely Turned Out (and distracting myself from the uni work I should have been doing) and in their interview with the crazy-inspirational Zara Mirkin (from No mag and Stolen Girlfriends Club... Enough said) she mentions Clare Tough as a fave emerging designer of hers. Know for "signature knits but also leather, woven’s and soft tailoring".

The knitwear really is lovely (and super hot). It's the perfect mix of nostalgic, old fashioned, youthful and sexy.

19/05/09: Streetstyle - The Males

I think I have menswear on the brain at the mo, god knows why. These looks are great though. I love a denim collar or cuff peeking out - it adds a real earthy, grunginess to an otherwise slick leather jacket and soft curly hair. I think guys pull of black and white looks better than girls - when I try it I always feel like I'm uber "matchymatchy".

13/04/09: Street Style

I love that black furry hooded jacket - so so cosy. Wish mine had a hood! May have to search for a furry friend for mine. Also coveting the bi-tone tights a la Chanel Fall 08. One of the girls at uni got a sweet pair of bi-tone leggings from the tres cute Oui Boutique in St Kevins Arcade.

Bec Parsons

Turned Out just featured an interview with the tres talented photographer Bec Parsons - shes behind some amazing editorials in my fave mags Russh and Oyster. Love love her work.

These are stunning, so delicate, natural and ethereal - and another reason I crush on daisy chains.

And this I love... Wonder why.

20/03/09: Street Style

Love the big hat! Pity that I suit hardly any styles! The layering with the fur is fab (and leather pants are always pure gold). And I love how those guys are dressed. Especially the insane asymmetric jacket/scarf combo on the right.

8/03/09: Street Style

New and old: Brand new Isabel Marant boots and Poly sporting a Fall 04 Balenciaga coat (probably one of the best coats ever. And how cute is Sasha. Seriously.

More great coats - particularly love the layer on the girl second from the left (union jacket shirt tied around the waist? Amazing) and the girl on the far right - it's undoubtably freezing but she's toughing it to show kneecaps and a bit of midriff.

Ps: I am so desperately wanting floral docs its no joke. Love this shot from The Sartorialist. And saw a pair on Zippora Seven at Zoo Music last night - jealous.

Street Style: New York and London

As always, Alexa Chung looks amazing. The cream-navy combo is contrasting yet soft, and a nice change to the usual black-white. She always has the best bags and shoes. And makes me seriously consider bobbing my hair?

Love the mix of the bold red plaid with a grey tee and denim cut offs. And speaking of denim, the denim shirt in the second shot looks great just peeking out from under the tweed jacket.

More tweed, this time paired with Chanel and lots of jewelry (always a great look).

Lace and Tweed

This young girl has such great style - I love the contrast between the cream lacy dress and the soft, worn in, tweed coat. Love the satchel and LOVE the boots.
