6/05/09: Net-A-Porter & The Outnet

I always find myself going back to the colour combination of white, cream, denim blue and soft brown - especially when I can't think what to wear. Its just casual enough but chic at the same time, and soft but not do girly. And you can wear a bunch of different shades but never clash. 100% failsafe. Actually I've pretty much got stuff like this to put on after the gym this mornin (Karen Walker acid wash skinnys, cream cashmere tshirt, tan leather jacket). Must have had this in the back of my mind last night when packing!
Clockwise from top: Stella McCartney Canvas waist belt, Elle Macpherson Intimates Boudoir Silk and Lace boudoir briefs, Celine 'Watch Me Mirror' shoulder bag, Camilla and Marc Jessica high waist skirt, J Brand Bleached ripped jeans, Chloe Perspex panel platform sandals, Stella McCartney Mesh Basket sandals, Halston Suede shoulder bag, Celestina Singkwent y Siete necklace, Current/Elliott The Skinny Tie-Dye jeans. Center: Superfine Skinny leg blue jeans.

RAFW: Camilla And Marc

The show from Camilla And Marc is def one of my faves so far. Gorgeous palette (and a constant favorite of mine) of creamy nudes, beiges and whites.
Love contrast between the silks, high sheens, and crochet, yet done in harmonious colours. That dress on the far left is gorgeous and I am so wanting the crochet cropped top on the far right.
The killer looks however were undoubtable the black/denim/gold babies. A comment on Isaac Likes said it looks like "Balmain meets Wang meets Ellery" and she is so right. There couldnt be a sicker collection lovechild. I would kill for every piece in these looks - super luxe gold + faded, soft, ragged denim = most beautiful, wearable contast.

26/03/09: Net-A-Porter

I am a total jacket fiend at the moment, so all these options would be so perfect. Soft oversized (wool! Warm!) cream blazer? Oui. Silver embellished and frogged jacket? Oui. Slouchy silk jacket reminiscent of a dressing going? Oh oui. Ps and will always love acidwash jeans, gold, studs and YSL charms. That is all.

You can never flunk out with a creamy white outfit. I like having some imperfect elements (eg fades, rips, texture or earthy jewelry) to stop it looking too stark and ice queeny (unfortunately easy when your a blonde).
Clockwise: Camilla & Marc Alabama mini dress, Sass & Bide Neon Nights ripped jeans, Acne Her Slash jeans, Emanuel Ungaro Macrame tassel belt, Church's Classic Burwood brogues.
