5/09/09: Net-A-Porter Gilt

Sometimes the perfect thing to visually indulge in on a saturday morning is something that will inspire you for the impending night. I don't know about you, but sequins, black, gold and leather always gets me in the mood for some revellery.

Ps: Isn't that ace YSL necklace the perfect way to flash the iconic (and heavenly) logo with class.
Clockwise: 3.1 Phillip Lim Sequin T-shirt, Chloe Lena brocade bag, Vanessa Bruno Suede Leggings, Lanvin Metallic Leather sandals, YSL Glass Bead necklace.

28/08/09: Net-A-Porter

I love a good nude/black mix. The soft femininity and innocence of blush tones is counterbalance by slick black pieces, and details like hardware, jewellery and lace really pop.

Enter The Dinner Dress

I love the luxe yet archaic/aged feel of this shot - torn wallpaper, broken paintings, intricate gold chairs. And Freja herself is the epitome of disheveled luxury - all the atypical imperfections like her messy mop of hair and her obvious tattoos make her even more alluring. The clothes (mostly from Lanvin, Balenciaga and Givenchy) have a intricate layered sense of wealth and dishevelment - crumpled lace, heavy jewels etc.

Leathers and Letters

My recent (near) acquisition of totally sick Claude Maus leather leggings (thank god for layby) and Chloe Sevigny's recent killer Proenza Schouler outfit have got me tripping on intense leather-full looks even more than usual.

And while I'm on a noir tangent, this is necklace heaven. I'm pretty much obsessed with the YSL logo - I blame studying typography at uni. So this I adore. blatantly logo-tastic but still classy and simple.

11/06/09: Net-A-Porter

There's something about black and studs that is timelessly sexy and strong. Love a tight asymmetric dress with leather and strong boots - makes it less overt. I also love hard metal against black, adds an edge to what is otherwise quite a sombre, serious palette. I'm also thinking studded boots could most definitely be a DIY project this holidays (which starts at mid day today!! Excite!)
Clockwise Outer: Alexander Wang Leather Motorcycle vest, Herve Leger Vivien cutout bandage dress, Pierre Hardy Fur and nappa boot, Proenza Schouler Studded biker boot, Tory Burch Studded clutch, Alexander Wang Cutout jersey dress & Satin jersey one-shoulder dress, Timex80 Digital gold tone watch,
Clockwise Inner: Spanx Black lace high waisted thong, Alexander Wang Fitted Corset dress, Oscar De La Renta Boucle motorcycle jacket, Lanvin Happu Partage fold-over handbag.

Glitter

Uni/life pressures (only a week and a half left - SO much work due) and seriousness have left me craving lighthearted (but not priced) sparkly frivolities like these. All of which are ironically glitzy, fun and just plain pretty.
Clockwise: Lanvin Happu Partage fold-over handbag, Louis Vuitton Chain necklace, Prada Cracle leather embroidered heel, Louis Vuitton Paillettes bag

Clockwise: Louis Vuitton Bisetta bag and Chain necklace, John Galliano Patent leather cutout bootie.

Bi-tone would look fab with denim and white cotton.
Clockwise: Janis by Janis Savitt Gold and steel multi chain necklace, Loewe Metallic leather platform sandal, Stella McCartney Spray pring nylon hobo, Givenchy Brass chain bracelet, John Galliano Wood and leather cut out bootie

Havana Rendezvous

Love how these deliciously o.t.t, trippy colourful metallic pieces are dirtied up perfectly by some sweat and dishevelment c/o Havana Cuba. On another tangent, although I initially wasn't a fan, that leopardprint-on-acid by Lanvin is really growing on you. Oh Alber.

Seeing Red

I love red with denim. Red is a colour I have trouble wearing - being blonde I usually uber cliche in a straight-up-red dress, and it often washes me the hell out. Denim really tones down the intensity and connotations it has - particularly this perfectly battered vest courtesy of our girl Erin Wasson.
Clockwise: John Galliano Patent leather cutout bootie, Erin Wasson x RVCA Gun St Girl dress, Lanvin Glama small satin clutch, Erin Wasson x RVCA Grateful acid wash vest.

19/03/09: More Net-A-Porter

Love that Maje leather piece - v Rick Owens, love the contrasting textures. Would go perfectly with the Chloe clutch. And don't get me started on why I need a silk-tee.
Clockwise From Top: Chloe Candy leather clutch, Bally Printed silk scarf, Chloe Sally calf leather shoulder bag, Kain Silk-blended tee, Lanvin Pop leopard print clutch, Maje Imperial leather jacket,

And I will always love these. Always.
Crystal! Studded!
