Enter The Dinner Dress

I love the luxe yet archaic/aged feel of this shot - torn wallpaper, broken paintings, intricate gold chairs. And Freja herself is the epitome of disheveled luxury - all the atypical imperfections like her messy mop of hair and her obvious tattoos make her even more alluring. The clothes (mostly from Lanvin, Balenciaga and Givenchy) have a intricate layered sense of wealth and dishevelment - crumpled lace, heavy jewels etc.

Lily In Paris

Yeah I know I'm shallow, but I am always a total fiend for any editorial or campaign thats blatantly (and stunningly) Parisian. Toss in Lily, Louis Vuitton (especially the infamous bunny ears), Balenciaga and Givenchy and I'm all yours.

Guys And Dolls

Love these shots of Alexa from UK Vogue's July issue - especially the cutely badass one on the left. Gorgeous outfits and colouring too. Will definitely purchasing this issue when it hits our shores! And if you haven't already, go read her columns for The Independent - v funny and very much Alexa's classic humor.

Indian Summer

This is one of the best Daria editorials I've seen in a while (not that she ever does anything remotely average). Love the fresh, summery feel.  Lots of Chloe and those sumptuously crushed Prada silks. Im still obsessed with those glasses. I'm thinking an intense search for the perfect pair is in order.

Oceans Blue

This is how swimsuit eds should be done - so far from vulgar or tacky or blatant. Yet they still have a captivatingly dirty/sexy quality (in the best possible way). I'm loving anything in gathered/tied/twisted white tshirting at the moment - top faves of mine done by Alexander Wang and Karla Spetic. I love how the classic swimwear is paired with iconic, tough pieces like the studded leather, denim and leopard. Takes it totally away from the beach.

Ps: Anyone else miss summer already? I do.

Rebel Territory

This editorial from UK Vogue in 07 was where I first started getting obsessed with battered old mens army jackets - finally got my hands on a near perfect one (alas it is pocketless) this year. Also love the Prada fringing in this too. Haven't seen anything as good since that collection.

Floral & Plaid

Love this. Very nineties, very cute - young, boyish, casual, grungy. Always love Selezneva's work. Glad I already have a floral shirt (aka steal it from Mama's closet regularly) and a slouchy grey sweatshirt! Easy.

State Of Grace

Love the contrast of the luxurious washed out pastels and metallics with the sharp, simple black basic of a bra. Gorgeous colours, textures and shape.

More From The Talented Mr Walker...

So I kept lingering on the Tim Walker forum on The Fashion Spot, and came across these...

Vogue UK August 2007 "To The Ends Of The Earth" featuring Iekeliene Stange

I am so amazed! These are shot in (and prominently feature the natives of) Papua New Guinea - a place a lived for three years as a child! Wow! Has made my day for sure.
