SOS

Do any of you fashion-fiends know where I can find the following: spotty pantyhose, tan brogues & a breton/matelot stripe top (navy and cream)???

I'm desperate! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Enter The Dinner Dress

I love the luxe yet archaic/aged feel of this shot - torn wallpaper, broken paintings, intricate gold chairs. And Freja herself is the epitome of disheveled luxury - all the atypical imperfections like her messy mop of hair and her obvious tattoos make her even more alluring. The clothes (mostly from Lanvin, Balenciaga and Givenchy) have a intricate layered sense of wealth and dishevelment - crumpled lace, heavy jewels etc.

Lily In Paris

Yeah I know I'm shallow, but I am always a total fiend for any editorial or campaign thats blatantly (and stunningly) Parisian. Toss in Lily, Louis Vuitton (especially the infamous bunny ears), Balenciaga and Givenchy and I'm all yours.

19/05/09: Net-A-Porter

I love black outfits executed in differing textures; leather, wool, lace - all care of Lover. An all black outfit tends to be a tad harsh (especially on fair blondes like me, doh) but cream, grey and gold pieces are perfect to soften - and a fab excuse to pile on the accessories.
Clockwise: Lover Madeline short duffle jacket, Thread Social Silk cuffed pants, Kenneth Jay Lane Topaz ball necklace, Balenciaga Stingray and suede sandal, Lover Angels Zip leathe r skirt, Brian Atwood Suede bootie, Lover Initiation stretch bodysuit, Emilio Pucci Python bag.

Balenciaga On The Rocks - With Sequins.

Pretty. Love how earthy yet ethereal the Balenciaga dress looks here (nice contrast to it's slick futurism on the runway). And I always love sequins.

PFW: Nina Ricci, Balenciaga

NINA RICCI
This collection is reportedly Olivier Theyskens last for Nina Ricci, but he undoubtably went out with a bang. Fluid metallics, rich colours and gravity defying shapes made this one of his best yet. Theyskens says he was  "Was thinking of a nocturnal mood, Not nightclubbing at all. Something moonlit — a bit magical."
The shoes are already infamous and much admired; over 5 inch platforms, heels that were either floating or non existent, sickle moon shapes on soles - and some pairs that looked like they had waded through pink sparkles on their way to the show.

BALENCIAGA
I just want to reach out and touch the new collection from Balenciaga. Those liquid silks look insane. So beautiful. Love the folds and draping and low slung hips - gorgeous palette too. Ghesquiere described the collection as "Parisian". I love seeing a softer look from him - as much as I also love his blooming warrior women, beautiful aliens, and globetrotters of seasons past.

Balenciaga Pre Fall

Fave looks from Balenciaga's Pre-Fall collection. I love the fur, and the skinny legs.

Fembot

This shot of Iekeliene Stange in Vogue Germany January 2009 so reminds me of the iconic poster for Metropolis...
On another note.. The typography for the film is so ahead of its time (1927!) Couldn't this been an edgy fashion magazine (inspired by Balenciaga oui?)
