School Boy Shorts and Ballet Slippers

The combination of simple but quirky elements usually creates the most charming outfits. Childlike, feminine elements like a sky blue one piece and classic pink ballet slippers contrast endearingly with schoolboy shorts and a tactile fur cardy. Perfect for the weather warming up! Although right now I'd probably toss in some tights with this lot.

5/09/09: Net-A-Porter Gilt

Sometimes the perfect thing to visually indulge in on a saturday morning is something that will inspire you for the impending night. I don't know about you, but sequins, black, gold and leather always gets me in the mood for some revellery.

Ps: Isn't that ace YSL necklace the perfect way to flash the iconic (and heavenly) logo with class.

18/08/09: Alexa

Sorry about the delay in posts - I have had supremely epic techno-karma! My deceptively angelic kitten/gremlin chewed through ANOTHER macbook charger so poor laptop has been dead as a doornail.

To improve the mood, here are some shots of Alexa looking great - as usual. This shows the worlds still in balance.

I am totally yearning for a stripey cardigan; nautical, preppy, frenchy etc. And the white dress is perfectly childlike, innocent and ladylike - yet somehow totally badass. Love the studded belt. Man I need to learn to wear dresses.
Left: in Alexander Wang, Chanel and Marni. Right: in Opening Ceremony

This is the best I have ever seen an all-buttoned-up shirt. Mostly because of the wider collar (making it look more relaxed) and the killer studs. It's Phillip Lim, and I want.

Dark and interesting never fails. Soft fur and rough leather in semi-primal finishes work so well with feminine lace and cool metals. And that owl clutch as just awesome.

Resort 2010: 3.1 Phillip Lim

Love the mash-up of black and white lace, and gold embellishment. Crazy awesome textures and patterns (which themselves have a modern look - refreshing when it comes to lace).
As you know, I'm obsessed with dressing up grey marl pieces at the moment - so am loving the sweater teamed with pants that look like liquid gold.

02/04/09: Net-a-Porter

Love a good palette of creams and nudes - subtly contrasted with some soft brown. And love any Proenza Schouler PS1. I need. For uni of course.
